Welcome to my Complementary Health site. I would like to take this opportunity of introducing myself. My name is Margaret Paterson and I have been working in Complementary Healthcare for over 20 years and incorporate Reflexology, Spiritual Healing and Indian Head Massage into my business. I trained with the National Federation of Spiritual Healers and qualified as a Full Healer in 1986. I worked as a Spiritual Healer in Healing Centres for many years including a Healing Centre I set up and ran for the NFSH in Farnborough Hospital, Kent, (now called the Princess Royal) but now work from home Click here for information about Spiritual Healing I studied Shiatsu with the British School of Shiatsu-Do for two years but due to unforeseen circumstances had to stop the training. However, the knowledge and information I gained during those two years has been invaluable to me in my work as a Complementary Therapist. In 1994 I qualified as a Reflexologist with the Bayly School of Reflexology and have been a registered Reflexology practitioner since then. Click here for information about Reflexology In 1998, I took a course and qualified in Indian Head Massage and I have incorporated that also into my business. Click here for information about Indian Head Massage. I work from home in Orpington, (which is within easy reach of Bromley, Beckenham and Sidcup) and create a comfortable and relaxing environment for my clients to receive whichever therapy they desire although Reflexology is the therapy which is most requested. Over the years I have had the privilege of working with many different health conditions including fertility problems, Parkinson's Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Asthma, Cancer and Stress. Reflexology can be a great help during pregnancy too, if the mother-to-be has had regular treatment prior to pregnancy there is no reason not to carry on, however it is wise to wait for the second trimester if mother-to-be has never had Reflexology before. Reflexology helps relax mother and baby and to ease associated problems such as swollen ankles, constipation acid reflux and BP; a treatment after the birth can help speed recovery and because it is so relaxing can help the new Mum to cope with her new circumstances. Please make sure you find a fully qualified and registered Reflexologist at all times but especially if you are pregnant. I keep my charges as low as I possibly can to facilitate regular treatments.
